October is flying by!

October is always a busy month for me. This month, in addition to 6 birthdays. Anniversaries and Halloween, we did some traveling and had 3 groups of guests. In between all the excitement, I have been crafting some really cute things. Take this anniversary card I made for my sister and her husband. I love the Tuxedo design and it came out so elegant in this black, gold and ivory color scheme.

I was so happy with it, I decided to do a Halloween card in the same design. It makes a really cute, dimensional card and is a completely different look than the anniversary card.

I also love the idea of a box for these cards. Because of the depth of the card with the flowers or other embellishments, you really need a box or at least an envelo-box for them. This seemed to me the best choice.

Then there is my take on the flower box card for my Grandson's birthday. I also did a cute gift card holder, because at 14 it is hard to figure out just what to get him!

Now I am embroidering 8 sweatshirts for a wedding party and then I will be getting started on this year's Christmas Cards. Have you started yours yet?

What a busy month!
This month is just flying by. I have been working on cards and painting some pumpkins. I love the MacKenzie Childs pumpkins so I thought I would use them as inspiration and create my own take on them as well as try a couple different things. I still like the black with gold glitter one (I think I need to add a clear shiny coat), but I am in the process of repainting another one. The leaves were cut from outdoor upholstery material, outlined with twine and then coated with glitter. I also wrapped the stems with twin and coated with glitter. Updated with picture of the final pumpkins.
I have a brief video on how I painted the black and white pumpkins.
You can find it here: Designer Inspired Pumpkins

I have done a few more little pumpkins to add to my collection. I also used my Cricut to cut the checkerboard pattern to place on the charger in this picture. I need to pick up 3 more at Hobby Lobby and paint the edges and add the vinyl to complete my fall table.

I am so happy that my Advent Calendars are done. It took some time

to get the design right so it is sturdy enough to last from year to year.

The file is a Cricut Design Space file. It can be decorated in many

different ways to match your holiday décor. It is available on my Patreon subscription here:

Looking Forward to the Holidays

Another week has passed and I will admit that I have started thinking about the holiday season and what crafts I will be creating. I currently have done a Christmas themed stationery box and am working on an Advent Calendar.

Crafting in August

When you start the day, how do you decide on what to create next?

I do so many different crafts and often everyday brings a new project. This week I will complete the cards for I need to send out for September. Then I will do the samples for the designs I have been working on to release in September and October.

My next project is another quilt. This one is for my sister and I am very excited about the pattern. I will be videoing and creating some detailed instructions for this quilt. Be sure to follow along as this should be a very pretty quilt.

What are you working on? Next month the focus will shift to Christmas preparations, gifts, decorations, cards, etc.

Cricut Maker Accessory Box

I was so excited to create this box for my cutting and scoring blades. It is cut from 2 mm thick chipboard cut by my Cricut Maker and then assembled, painted and decorated. The drawer is a great place for the cap for the knife blade, extra blades and maybe a few M&M's.

Keep watch for more fun and interesting projects as well as tips and tricks for creating your own masterpieces!
