<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20pt; line-height: 107%;">Let’s
chat a little about the advertising you see on these pages and affiliate links.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20pt; line-height: 107%;">First, the advertising. The ads are placed by a company that pays me for allowing them
to do so. It isn’t much for my little blog, but it pays for the domain name so
I can maintain it at no cost to me. I do not approve or necessarily recommend
the merchants that are advertised. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20pt; line-height: 107%;">Now,
Affiliate links. These are links to merchandise and suppliers that I personally
use and/or believe in. If you shop through one of my affiliate links, it costs
you nothing. However, I receive a small percentage of the sale as a commission.
This helps offset some of my costs for materials and allows me to keep doing
what I do. If I start to generate enough from the affiliate links, I will
remove the advertising from the blog. I find it as irritating as I am sure you
do. I think it sometimes makes it confusing, especially when you are viewing
the blog on a device. So please hang in there and if you shop with one of my
recommended merchants, click through my links. I appreciate it and you! I will
add a page with my affiliate links and I am adding them to the side panel on the right of the blog. On your device, if you scroll down and click on "View web version", you will see the links. Happy Crafting!<o:p></o:p></span></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20pt; line-height: 107%;"><br /></span></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20pt; line-height: 107%;"><em style="background-color: white; color: #58595b; font-family: Arial, san-serif; font-size: 14px; letter-spacing: -0.37px; text-align: start;">**This post contains affiliate links, and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on my links.</em></span></p>Cindy Lawrencehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15627009885253016335noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1247505347410574278.post-4148484517436094462022-07-02T15:14:00.001-07:002022-07-02T15:17:34.101-07:00Picture Folio and Storage Box<p><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuyMfjxZRa-AWxvmliUatumrajna0VWd2ox6LHXayAbcK9PdXyTYBiHH50sYqcxOBDDccjgauhBhfWXPH_uKZ0sG5Itmn2Vg0TIwXkQ7EZnEWEzkGJj-1yZMcnwGoMDmKRIugRxGGDeAUjREZFw7JDYXlokiKZi8G2XUwqsug2l7p68TlYc2CpwzqcEg/s1170/rose%20with%20box.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1170" data-original-width="1169" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuyMfjxZRa-AWxvmliUatumrajna0VWd2ox6LHXayAbcK9PdXyTYBiHH50sYqcxOBDDccjgauhBhfWXPH_uKZ0sG5Itmn2Vg0TIwXkQ7EZnEWEzkGJj-1yZMcnwGoMDmKRIugRxGGDeAUjREZFw7JDYXlokiKZi8G2XUwqsug2l7p68TlYc2CpwzqcEg/s320/rose%20with%20box.jpg" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Dancing Script; font-size: large;">Picture Folio and Box</span></td></tr></tbody></table><br /> <span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20pt; text-align: center;">I have
been working for a few weeks to complete this project and the video. I created new DS
files and altered a couple of existing ones. The exciting thing is that I am
done! A friend sent me this idea and I really loved it. I have so many planned
now. I made a single folio for my husband for Father’s Day. Then I did another
for my niece with pictures from preparing for her wedding. I got the big idea
that I should also do one for the wedding and then one for the reception. Now I
needed a way to group them all together. Then I created the box. Now I want one
with dog pictures, oh and then ones with pictures from different camping trips,
oh and gifts…!!!! There are just so many uses for these cute little books. Holding
anywhere from 8 to 18 pictures (or more), they can tell a story in such little
space and in a unique way.</span></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">There
are several files. The first is for the Picture Folio itself. Then there is a
file for the Gatefold insert and one for the accordion pull-out. Lastly there
is the file for the box I would love to see what you create with these files.

have been seeing so many three-dimensional bow cards lately. I decided that we
needed to be able to make them with our Cricut. I created a file and made a
couple. I think they make great cards and will also work wonderfully as a gift
topper. I will be doing some in Christmas paper for that purpose. Click on the "Card making" link on the right and find the file labeled "Bow Card". It is made from basic shapes and a free image so there is no cost to Create! I also had several male-themed cards to make for June. I only got pictures of
two of them. Most of the elements of those cards were not done with my Cricut.
For the two I have pictures of, the inside verse and panels were done with my
Cricut. I love Anna Griffin's embellishments for masculine-themed cards and that
was my source for June’s cards. <o:p></o:p></span></p><blockquote style="border: none; margin: 0 0 0 40px; padding: 0px;"><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvB9F_JcPQRCV7fC6PhFxTVKPo673U3KS4GF7kDSfHH_TCPsTKg73ZUCeCRRMcKokbIDMDHJhiGlro9Vp9UvJZBeJKz0n3hhdDrPMW6VFfEqFxpRMXGkjRN-mK8PCp_52-eS_AH-zXuQrraMQLOB5xyyIklfwF6iQaHOQmfRc080MhN0koOHqp0Hurzw/s1560/Dave%20Father's%20day.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1560" data-original-width="1170" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvB9F_JcPQRCV7fC6PhFxTVKPo673U3KS4GF7kDSfHH_TCPsTKg73ZUCeCRRMcKokbIDMDHJhiGlro9Vp9UvJZBeJKz0n3hhdDrPMW6VFfEqFxpRMXGkjRN-mK8PCp_52-eS_AH-zXuQrraMQLOB5xyyIklfwF6iQaHOQmfRc080MhN0koOHqp0Hurzw/s320/Dave%20Father's%20day.jpg" width="240" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbE4zETaY88NfpPZb-daueFgRA05zK-4Hn02pXcBjp2chwa51yWIMabM5wCcUUoXB5aYAi0ZrjdWQH0ZCcWI4mmtQpIYh7cD50FDWuVxE6vt0oAP5I74fqAaEc6MmBwCHEMZvYRQ9g_qYSps9vMhhD3hFM_tmQQ0pEmiW0Albrgb_QnAr0FMui4nbLOQ/s1560/Inside%20daves%20fathers%20day.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: right;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1560" data-original-width="1170" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbE4zETaY88NfpPZb-daueFgRA05zK-4Hn02pXcBjp2chwa51yWIMabM5wCcUUoXB5aYAi0ZrjdWQH0ZCcWI4mmtQpIYh7cD50FDWuVxE6vt0oAP5I74fqAaEc6MmBwCHEMZvYRQ9g_qYSps9vMhhD3hFM_tmQQ0pEmiW0Albrgb_QnAr0FMui4nbLOQ/s320/Inside%20daves%20fathers%20day.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><p></p></blockquote><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"> <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcnCDXHKQbfPqDyEE0dE5QP_wIyuHNHqoeP_BJzoIfkDnCQ-Dm1h6EwnbpNV1JWKYvRjJXq2BZgw_Sqyh7cSpkKvZ0dj_zVq-emDE6OJm-mOWTKftwzbV5tSCKFwFAdzPfED_XeSubCUJ3m-wk_-EvaBhds3oS5lti8-5VX0fjwB24Xzvb14EZpvHeLQ/s1574/Father's%20day%20Randy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1574" data-original-width="1169" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcnCDXHKQbfPqDyEE0dE5QP_wIyuHNHqoeP_BJzoIfkDnCQ-Dm1h6EwnbpNV1JWKYvRjJXq2BZgw_Sqyh7cSpkKvZ0dj_zVq-emDE6OJm-mOWTKftwzbV5tSCKFwFAdzPfED_XeSubCUJ3m-wk_-EvaBhds3oS5lti8-5VX0fjwB24Xzvb14EZpvHeLQ/s320/Father's%20day%20Randy.jpg" width="238" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLRMTLYPaKszGOuhfmhIH8Y4lCn3rXJ22wLmL9mI3yvzqy895qBBgUydVK6EUoMv3UFvR17Uw2otHcX8BaVBS9whnttCJ7P0s5bWaFUR58k_OWtIVnAsWspYuYxUF6_EQhkAhw4VSZWJY6fSXusSVuakltvRWSi2PCn8Z5NexySedJ7k8lAAV8oapMIA/s1560/Inside%20father's%20day.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: right;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1560" data-original-width="1170" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLRMTLYPaKszGOuhfmhIH8Y4lCn3rXJ22wLmL9mI3yvzqy895qBBgUydVK6EUoMv3UFvR17Uw2otHcX8BaVBS9whnttCJ7P0s5bWaFUR58k_OWtIVnAsWspYuYxUF6_EQhkAhw4VSZWJY6fSXusSVuakltvRWSi2PCn8Z5NexySedJ7k8lAAV8oapMIA/s320/Inside%20father's%20day.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;"></span><p></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">I

finally back to crafting. After a busy holiday season, my husband and I came
down with COVID. We are very happy that it was a mild case for both of us and
really felt like a head cold. (For those interested, we both have been
vaccinated and I had received my booster.) <o:p></o:p><p></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">I am
currently sewing some clothes and working on some new linen kitchen towels. If
you have not tried linen towels, you may want to consider it. I purchase linen
from Fabrics-store.com. For the kitchen towels and my hair towels, I check out
their “doggie bag” pieces and then cut them to size and hem. Linen fabric naturally
does not mildew and is very absorbent. When you live in a humid climate like
southwest Florida, it is nice to have towels that don’t smell after just one
day’s use. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">I
finished up my birthday cards for February and will be working on Valentine's<br />
cards next. The card pictured was a mixture of methods. The base and front
panel were cut with the Cricut. The “Happy Birthday”, the flower and leaves
were die cut and the front panel was embossed, both with my Gemini Midi. The
inside sentiment was stamped on a card insert. </span><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 26.0pt; line-height: 107%;"><o:p></o:p></span></p>Cindy Lawrencehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15627009885253016335noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1247505347410574278.post-77190479726843027022022-02-03T09:35:00.006-08:002022-02-03T09:35:58.027-08:00Fonts that mimic Cricut writing fonts.<p><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20pt; text-align: center;">Fonts that Mimic Single-line fonts</span></p><p><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20pt; text-align: center;">I have
seen several posts recently where people are looking for fonts that will “write”
with the Cricut rather than tracing the outlines of the letters, leaving that
bubbly look. I have created a list of fonts that mimic the look of a single-line font. That list can be accessed by finding the page list in the column to
the left and clicking there. I hope it helps as you are working on your
beautiful projects!</span></p>Cindy Lawrencehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15627009885253016335noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1247505347410574278.post-39565696908417959582021-12-15T14:09:00.001-08:002021-12-15T14:09:14.076-08:00Merry Christmas<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;"><br /></span></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;"></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-JVqp7mXueas/YbpnSvRppEI/AAAAAAAAHAk/D0gbWxCfFywIsi8wctMOH3M5mxKoKPAigCNcBGAsYHQ/image.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="1200" height="278" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-JVqp7mXueas/YbpnSvRppEI/AAAAAAAAHAk/D0gbWxCfFywIsi8wctMOH3M5mxKoKPAigCNcBGAsYHQ/w371-h278/image.png" width="371" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-size: 20pt;">As
many of you know, the last few months have been busy for me. My daughter was
hospitalized in early October. We came too close to losing her at that time.
She has endured a great deal since then and has remained strong and determined.
She is home and well on her way to being well. One more surgery in January
probably to finish the process of getting things back to normal. For obvious
reasons, I have been absent from the blog and creating as a whole. I have done
what is necessary </span><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 26.6667px;">to get by</span><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20pt;"> for the last few months.</span><p></p><p>

with the holidays upon us, I wanted to take a moment and say thank you to those
of you that have been on this journey with me this year. I hope I have provided
you some fun and useful projects along the way. I will be taking a month or so
off to just regroup, recover and feed my creative side. I will then resume
sharing my files and hopefully creating new ones or at least creating new
projects to inspire you. I wish you all the Merriest Christmas and a safe,
healthy, and prosperous New Year! <o:p></o:p></span></p>Cindy Lawrencehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15627009885253016335noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1247505347410574278.post-34684169830788052612021-07-21T11:19:00.000-07:002021-07-21T11:19:05.469-07:00Card Thickness Measurement Device<p style="text-align: center;"> <span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20pt; text-align: center;">As I have
said so many times, I love to create layered card fronts. This means that when
it comes time to mail them, I have to go into the post office to see if I need
to add additional postage due to the thickness of the card. I noticed that they
use a card with a slot cut in it to measure the thickness of the envelope. I
decided that I needed one so I could calculate my postage at home and save the
trip to the Post Office. I have posted the link to it on the “Card Making”
page. I cut it from Kraft Board. I hope this helps you measure the thickness of
your cards and decide whether you want to add the depth and pay the additional
postage.</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5Zrk-3Ai9MM/YPhk6CbyR1I/AAAAAAAAG9o/I72e10AiVV8UUvpIJven9yAz64cCioWtgCLcBGAsYHQ/s674/Card%2Bmeasurement%2Bdevice.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="368" data-original-width="674" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5Zrk-3Ai9MM/YPhk6CbyR1I/AAAAAAAAG9o/I72e10AiVV8UUvpIJven9yAz64cCioWtgCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Card%2Bmeasurement%2Bdevice.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><p></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;"><o:p></o:p></span></p>Cindy Lawrencehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15627009885253016335noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1247505347410574278.post-9755499803900522942021-06-15T13:10:00.003-07:002021-06-15T13:10:49.807-07:00Card Toppers - Circle Sentiment<p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YQigE0DCDNI/YMkG6oyt-7I/AAAAAAAAG7U/WIi3S2ojkIobNH1hv8pC95QDs5lVtUqEgCLcBGAsYHQ/s853/Simple%2Bcircle%2Bbanner%2Btopper%2Bpicture.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="853" data-original-width="640" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YQigE0DCDNI/YMkG6oyt-7I/AAAAAAAAG7U/WIi3S2ojkIobNH1hv8pC95QDs5lVtUqEgCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Simple%2Bcircle%2Bbanner%2Btopper%2Bpicture.jpg" /></a><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20pt;"> </span></div><p></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">I
love to create layered card fronts. I use many elements from Anna Griffin, such
as her cutting dies and embossing folders. She has such a beautiful and elegant
style. I have purchased her card bases and many of her card toppers. I have also
purchased some of her image sets in DS. Although her card toppers are lovely, I
often do not have just the right one for a card that I am creating. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">In a
similar style to hers, I have started creating some card toppers that I can use
to create my own special cards. I am sharing the first of them with you today.
This is the “Card topper with circle sentiment – print”. You will find this
file on the “Card Making” page (link in the column to the left). This design
includes a center circle that you can insert your message or greeting and
utilize the print then cut feature of DS to create that part. The leaf flourishes are AG images. If you do not own them, you can simply delete them and create yours without, or add some swirls or other elements that you already own.<br /> You can upload
designs to embellish the layers, cut them from printed papers or even emboss
them to create your own version. I also love to create dimension by using foam adhesive.

<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">I
could have done a few more things in Cricut DS to embellish the card, but for
this one, I then finished it with some die cuts. I also tried using magnets for
the first time. I placed a magnet on each side of the card between the layers
on the front. Then I placed another magnet in each side of the bow. It serves

<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">As Father’s
Day quickly approaches, many are struggling to find the perfect male-oriented
card designs. I have done several. I used the shirt card on several occasions.
It is a fun and easy card to do. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">I
have done the toolbox card, an apron card, and a grill card as well. They work
great for guys with those interests. But what if he isn’t into that?<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">I
think my favorite card for male recipients (as well as kids and teens) is the
pop-up box card. They are so easy to personalize for anyone! Take a moment, jot
down a few things he is interested in. I recently made a birthday card for 26-year-old
bachelor. This is what I had to do. He coaches baseball and football, he hangs
out with friends, has a boxer puppy and when he was 2 years old, he was chased
by a big white goose – which he still hates to this day! <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">I
pulled out some Anna Griffin die cuts that included the football, baseball,
liqueur bottle, and the football stats card. Then I searched for a boxer and a
goose png. I uploaded those 2 images into Cricut Design Space and created a
shadow layer for them. I cut out my pop-up box card file, did a little
embossing of the layers and used some gilding wax to accent them, and then
assembled the card. </span></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EQCIJRlvei8/YLqP8gCHxxI/AAAAAAAAG6E/U05YmZo_EH8mQi75CClZzAukAH1vyGNawCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/Steven%2BWinzeler%2Bbirthday%2B2021.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: medium; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EQCIJRlvei8/YLqP8gCHxxI/AAAAAAAAG6E/U05YmZo_EH8mQi75CClZzAukAH1vyGNawCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Steven%2BWinzeler%2Bbirthday%2B2021.jpg" /></a><br />
I have done several versions of this card; mostly for male recipients. Regular
cards generally conform to a theme. The theme of these cards is the recipient,
so you can easily mix and match images that apply to their interests. <o:p></o:p></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ydUh2HQCzCQ/YLqQHROR5HI/AAAAAAAAG6I/xPYLpG3uspYZz181okmig9Nxq_PGH-3rACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/Father%2527s%2BDay%2B3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ydUh2HQCzCQ/YLqQHROR5HI/AAAAAAAAG6I/xPYLpG3uspYZz181okmig9Nxq_PGH-3rACLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Father%2527s%2BDay%2B3.jpg" /></a></div></div><p></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">If
you are struggling this Father’s Day, give this card a try!<o:p></o:p></span></p>Cindy Lawrencehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15627009885253016335noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1247505347410574278.post-31850662579780542472021-02-14T09:10:00.004-08:002021-02-14T09:10:26.768-08:00Easter Projects<p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-npiPfmXfi0U/YClTxTiFwzI/AAAAAAAAG28/W5aMGEoJyn0reD-OAi5YJ0uegXF-qEdPQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1160/Easter%2Bplace%2Bcard.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1071" data-original-width="1160" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-npiPfmXfi0U/YClTxTiFwzI/AAAAAAAAG28/W5aMGEoJyn0reD-OAi5YJ0uegXF-qEdPQCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Easter%2Bplace%2Bcard.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Valentines
crafting is behind us now. Easter will be the next big focus. I have a few
projects to share for Easter ideas. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">The
first is a simple place card with bunny ears. A fun and easy way to dress up
the table for Easter dinner. Since it is an easel-style place card, you could insert a special message inside and even use it as an Easter card for kids. (This project is labeled "Bunny Placecard")</span></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Abecedary Stencil;"><span style="font-size: 26.6667px;"><br /></span></span><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;"></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-W5nkbVyN-xA/YClVE0UwmnI/AAAAAAAAG3M/R8SMtMKahvMlO7_upAn8HYr6pT2iq2fuQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1428/Bunny%2Bfront2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1029" data-original-width="1428" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-W5nkbVyN-xA/YClVE0UwmnI/AAAAAAAAG3M/R8SMtMKahvMlO7_upAn8HYr6pT2iq2fuQCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Bunny%2Bfront2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><span style="font-size: 26.6667px;">Front</span><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lUbXRVQcdj0/YClVE6L3JLI/AAAAAAAAG3I/QisnUdLfQNEMtaF73ID8NDJFbSmvnVYFwCLcBGAsYHQ/s978/bunny%2Bback.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="978" data-original-width="975" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lUbXRVQcdj0/YClVE6L3JLI/AAAAAAAAG3I/QisnUdLfQNEMtaF73ID8NDJFbSmvnVYFwCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/bunny%2Bback.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div> <o:p></o:p><p></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Back<o:p></o:p></span></p><p></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">The
next project I did for Easter is this cute little bunny basket. I used some ink
around the edges of the cut pieces to add definition, but otherwise, it is a
simple design to create and would be fun to do with the kids too! This project is labeled "Easter Bunny Basket".<o:p></o:p></span></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gXdvHZIjQY8/YClX-C6LZyI/AAAAAAAAG3c/pQg9RZgOzHkwDS7JDJ_jK1EwfCS7rdLQQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1692/front.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1692" data-original-width="1496" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gXdvHZIjQY8/YClX-C6LZyI/AAAAAAAAG3c/pQg9RZgOzHkwDS7JDJ_jK1EwfCS7rdLQQCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/front.jpg" /></a></div><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Front<o:p></o:p></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UhXwPWebQ3U/YClX-HtegwI/AAAAAAAAG3k/vw-7GWQ7ly8wJHCoBJxzOXMhDLWT0ZZPQCLcBGAsYHQ/s2016/inside.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1397" data-original-width="2016" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UhXwPWebQ3U/YClX-HtegwI/AAAAAAAAG3k/vw-7GWQ7ly8wJHCoBJxzOXMhDLWT0ZZPQCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/inside.jpg" width="320" /></a></div></div><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Inside<o:p></o:p></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TP5pu8WhBzo/YClX-NYradI/AAAAAAAAG3g/ffEipYXP5QEvMOdCkQwxBvz0T16LywSowCLcBGAsYHQ/s1657/back.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1657" data-original-width="1496" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TP5pu8WhBzo/YClX-NYradI/AAAAAAAAG3g/ffEipYXP5QEvMOdCkQwxBvz0T16LywSowCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/back.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20pt;">Back</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20pt;">The final Easter project is an Easter version of the miniature candy bar gift card. I realized today that many of you are not seeing the other pages here. <br />On the left-hand side of this page, you will see a list of pages. One is labeled "Card Making" among others. When you click on one of those pages, it will take you to a new page on this blog. The card-making page is a list of Cricut Design Space Files for cards that I have designed and shared with you. <br /><br />I have not shared any of my recent embroidery projects. This is the king size quilt I just finished. It contains 2.88 million embroidery stitches on 80 blocks. Each block took just about an hour to stitch out. It is definitely my largest project ever!</span></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20pt; line-height: 28.5333px;"></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-kXz5PoTOcAQ/X_8jwprqKBI/AAAAAAAAG0M/oBFzBO5JWewETqvcniIOpWtrLqjRXEdRgCLcBGAsYHQ/image.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="240" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-kXz5PoTOcAQ/X_8jwprqKBI/AAAAAAAAG0M/oBFzBO5JWewETqvcniIOpWtrLqjRXEdRgCLcBGAsYHQ/image.png" width="320" /></a></div>Cindy Lawrencehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15627009885253016335noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1247505347410574278.post-66313777522537756852021-01-22T12:37:00.000-08:002021-01-22T12:37:19.647-08:00Shutter Card<p> </p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Lately
I have heard many who are new at card making comments that they do not know
where to start or that their cards do not look as nice as others do. Remember
that we all started someplace. Honestly, in my opinion, some of the most
beautiful cards I have seen are the simplest. Create cards out of love and they
will be awesome!<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Today
I am sharing some birthday cards I made for upcoming birthdays. These three
cards are all cut from the same file, which is posted here free under the name,
“Shutter Card”. This card has been shared here before under the name Tri-fold
Shutter card, but that file does not contain the mat layers. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CdISoyfVL6s/YAs2wEru6zI/AAAAAAAAG1o/1VWQWfBlyMEYqKqscj8ZhIgC-sX1mNaQQCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/Tri-fold%2BShutter%2BCard%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CdISoyfVL6s/YAs2wEru6zI/AAAAAAAAG1o/1VWQWfBlyMEYqKqscj8ZhIgC-sX1mNaQQCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Tri-fold%2BShutter%2BCard%2B1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20pt;">This
first card is quick and easy and yet has that wow factor. It was created from 1/2
sheet of 12”x12” white cardstock for the base, an 8 ½” sheet of patterned
paper, and 3 4”x 6” pieces for the mats. I used a set of dies to cut out the
words, “especially for you” and stamped the “Happy Birthday” sentiment. You
fold the top row of scoring with the first one being a mountain fold, then a
valley, then a mountain, and lastly a valley. The second row is a mountain and a
valley fold. The bottom row is the same as the top. This card folds to a
standard A2 size (4 ¼” x 5 ½”).<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5r_ir2-fgHA/YAs2_74i0II/AAAAAAAAG1w/u0KSAtTKqVIf-oacTJhBwXnvnn7oo4YqgCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/Tri-fold%2BShutter%2BCard%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5r_ir2-fgHA/YAs2_74i0II/AAAAAAAAG1w/u0KSAtTKqVIf-oacTJhBwXnvnn7oo4YqgCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Tri-fold%2BShutter%2BCard%2B2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div></span><p></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">This second card uses metallics, shimmer, and glitter cardstock as well as embossing.
It is a little more complex, but still not difficult. It was created with 1/2 a sheet of 12” x 12” white cardstock for the base. I used a gilding paste to add
a slight sparkle around the folds and cut edges of the paper. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I cut mats and layers from remnants of
matching glitter and mat metallic papers as well as some white shimmer paper. I
embossed some of the pieces and layered them. I used dies to cut out the row of
hearts the word “Celebrate” and the “Happy Birthday”. I stamped the center
sentiment.</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QANUCT-Kd5A/YAs3Ne8IcFI/AAAAAAAAG10/zk4mVRy08UYpHiI9qvoSts0PDjvnmeXIgCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/Tri-fold%2BShutter%2BCard%2B3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QANUCT-Kd5A/YAs3Ne8IcFI/AAAAAAAAG10/zk4mVRy08UYpHiI9qvoSts0PDjvnmeXIgCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Tri-fold%2BShutter%2BCard%2B3.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><p></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">This third card has many of the same elements as the second card with the addition
of the waterfall section in the center and the rounding of some of the corners.
The mini waterfall card in the center is a die set. I may recreate this to be
cut with the Cricut at some point in the future. I do have a file for a
waterfall card that could be sized down to create a similar effect. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">I
hope this illustrates that the process of creating a card can be as simple or
complex as you wish. When you start with an unusual card cutting file, you can
look like a pro with extraordinarily little effort. Most importantly, enjoy the
process and develop your own style!<o:p></o:p></span></p>Cindy Lawrencehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15627009885253016335noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1247505347410574278.post-75056108433067535982021-01-15T10:54:00.001-08:002021-01-15T10:54:08.763-08:00Sherri's Quilt<p> </p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">A new
quilt is in process. About 6 months ago, I purchased a mid-arm quilting/sewing
machine and a quilting frame. I started using the machine immediately and have
fallen in love. I had forgotten how wonderfully and consistent a mechanical
machine sews. Since this is a straight stitch only machine, I am now on the
hunt for a mechanical multi-stitch machine much like this one. I purchased this
machine used so it is a few years old, but works great and has the features I
was most interested in. It has the needle up/down option, a large reverse
lever, a needle threader, and a thread cutter. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7LHk5DXYBtM/YAHhx2PwlyI/AAAAAAAAG0k/o2M6MHbvV8s8lgTngIKEq7oFncRcwVPTACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/block.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7LHk5DXYBtM/YAHhx2PwlyI/AAAAAAAAG0k/o2M6MHbvV8s8lgTngIKEq7oFncRcwVPTACLcBGAsYHQ/s320/block.jpg" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;"><br /></span><p></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">When I

do some test quilting before loading this quilt on to finish it. I have always
quilted on my regular sewing machine and am looking forward to working on a

know the name of this pattern so I am calling it Sherri’s quilt since that is
who I am making it for. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I saw an image
of it a few years ago, saved it, and decided to make it. I have created a
cutting file in Cricut to cut the fabrics. For this quilt, I cut mine with a
rotary cutter and a mat since it wasted little fabric that way.</span></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">The link to the file will be on the other projects page. <p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">I know
that there are many new visitors and followers due to my recent posts on Facebook.
I want to let you know that I am retired due to Multiple Sclerosis and I do
this as fun. I am a multi-crafter. I sew, machine embroider, make cards,
scrapbook, make quilts, upholster furniture and many other projects that often
include using my tools such as my Cricut Maker. I love sharing these projects
so they may inspire others to tap into their abilities and Create beautiful
things. <br />
I try to post to the blog at least once or more a month. Sometimes I get too
busy with a project and don’t. Sometimes my health is not cooperating, and
maybe once this pandemic is over, I might go on vacation again. With that said,
this is not a money stream for me. Yes, there is advertising on the blog. That
helps pay for the costs associated with having my web site, etc. As I have
mentioned before, I am not an affiliate for Cricut. I tell you this so that you
know that I am just giving you my honest thoughts on Cricut and other products
that I use. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">I
hope you enjoy my blog and are able to be inspired and use the resources I post
here. Stay safe!<o:p></o:p></span></p>Cindy Lawrencehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15627009885253016335noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1247505347410574278.post-56292700999220427292021-01-13T09:08:00.000-08:002021-01-13T09:08:06.732-08:00Quilt Square file added<p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IWyzRoQ2bVE/X_8o1bqwEmI/AAAAAAAAG0Y/ngZiucZ3tcIBHYi4jLky1zm-ttJ2S_wyACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/Mickey%2BQuilt.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="271" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IWyzRoQ2bVE/X_8o1bqwEmI/AAAAAAAAG0Y/ngZiucZ3tcIBHYi4jLky1zm-ttJ2S_wyACLcBGAsYHQ/w240-h271/Mickey%2BQuilt.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><br /><p></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">January

<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">I am
busy working on more new projects. Today I posted the DS link for the standard
size quilt squares and half squares. I used my Cricut to cut the fabric for
this quilt. I love that it cuts them to exactly the correct size and perfectly
square. I precut my fabric to size and plan my squares to minimize waste. I
hope this helps some of you out there! <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><o:p></o:p></span></p>Cindy Lawrencehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15627009885253016335noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1247505347410574278.post-46845954463620715492020-12-14T13:03:00.005-08:002020-12-14T13:20:55.662-08:00Last Minute Gifts<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mvyrcxE3rTs/X9fSuZOl76I/AAAAAAAAGyU/y-RWBd0x5RkWeIBWyqbjN1dHY3n7xKfuQCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/Mini%2Bcandy%2Bbar%2B2.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="385" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mvyrcxE3rTs/X9fSuZOl76I/AAAAAAAAGyU/y-RWBd0x5RkWeIBWyqbjN1dHY3n7xKfuQCLcBGAsYHQ/w289-h385/Mini%2Bcandy%2Bbar%2B2.jpg" width="289" /></a></div> <p></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20pt;">Merry Christmas! If you are like me, you are busy with
preparations and last-minute gifts. I had wanted to get to this earlier, but
other things took priority. Sorry for the delay, but I hope you feel it was
worth the wait. I am posting the links to some little gift ideas today.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20pt; line-height: 107%;">The first is a card that holds miniature candy bars. This
makes such a cute Christmas card for those people you want to give just a

and welcome to those who are new to my blog! Over the next week I will be
posting some fun Christmas ideas including the files to create them with your
Cricut. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20pt; line-height: 107%;">Today
I am sharing an Advent Calendar that I designed two years ago. The two I
created have gone through two seasons and are ready to be filled for this year.
I am just trying to come up with new ideas for my husband’s. The file is posted
on the "Other Files" </span><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20pt;">page and there is a video on my YouTube channel on how this
is made. Please share pictures if you create on for someone you love.</span></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QXwMJtEEEcc/X61R3hgx2lI/AAAAAAAAGvk/ptBNwaw1jRcFh_BVcZ2LH0nODzozHl_tgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1602/Advent%2BCalendar.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1272" data-original-width="1602" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QXwMJtEEEcc/X61R3hgx2lI/AAAAAAAAGvk/ptBNwaw1jRcFh_BVcZ2LH0nODzozHl_tgCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Advent%2BCalendar.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20pt; line-height: 107%;"><br /></span><p></p>Cindy Lawrencehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15627009885253016335noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1247505347410574278.post-16639656045491015632020-11-12T07:17:00.001-08:002020-11-12T07:17:21.393-08:00A busy week of card making, sewing & embroidery!<p> </p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">I
have been home for just over a week and I have been busy. My first order of business
was to create a second birthday card for my dear husband as he was not able to
travel with me for the wedding and his birthday was while I was away. (NY State
required me to quarantine for two weeks since I was traveling from Florida.)</span><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20pt;"> </span></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;"><o:p></o:p></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JuaWrLUtYAE/X5IKPKfqT-I/AAAAAAAAGtA/V9W5ZQJ6YLMgz91rjFpZdj3bOoyzMJeMQCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/Randy%2527s%2Bbirthday%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JuaWrLUtYAE/X5IKPKfqT-I/AAAAAAAAGtA/V9W5ZQJ6YLMgz91rjFpZdj3bOoyzMJeMQCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Randy%2527s%2Bbirthday%2B2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><p></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">The
next project was my Christmas cards. I set my mind to getting them complete and
ready to mail. I was quite surprised as I created the 3 samples, choose the one
I was going to go with and finished them all inside of 3 days!<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;"><o:p></o:p></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PlhA-qrhrN8/X5IKcpmsVvI/AAAAAAAAGtE/POt3h_UoZxs4YGkp1b8GE573AWaJYlO_QCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/Christmas%2Bcards%2B2020.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PlhA-qrhrN8/X5IKcpmsVvI/AAAAAAAAGtE/POt3h_UoZxs4YGkp1b8GE573AWaJYlO_QCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Christmas%2Bcards%2B2020.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /> <span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20pt;">I saw
this beautiful design for a hair towel and I had to give it a try. I ordered
some nice cotton towel, (like a heavy flour sack towel), and when they arrived,
I stitched one up. I tried it on my hair and loved it So I stitched up several
more to give as Christmas gifts. This is a Sonia Showalter design.</span><p></p>

away for a few weeks to assist with the preparations for my niece’s wedding. It
was a wonderful time with family. My niece had put together a beautiful
assortment of gorgeous silk flowers (they looked real!) from which I created
her bouquet and the ones for her attendants. In addition, we used them to

have been busy getting some masks made, towels embroidered and reorganizing my
craft room. Since I do so many different crafts, I have a ton of supplies and
equipment. It is crucial to keep it all organized and neat so I can find things
when I want them. My room is also quite small for all that I have so I have to
be diligent at organization. <br />
<br />
Today I added a link to a basic 6” x 6” card envelope on the card making page.
I have a video on YouTube that explains how to resize your envelopes so if this
is not the size you need, head over to YouTube where you can learn how to
adjust the size to meet your needs. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><o:p></o:p></span></p>Cindy Lawrencehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15627009885253016335noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1247505347410574278.post-14597111737211290102020-09-08T16:10:00.001-07:002020-09-08T16:10:26.257-07:00<p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8gl3TOkbPbw/X1gOawBatmI/AAAAAAAAGpI/8kUkh8M3hNsqCX5U-lAdRU-QweJhjjNmACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/number%2Bcard.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8gl3TOkbPbw/X1gOawBatmI/AAAAAAAAGpI/8kUkh8M3hNsqCX5U-lAdRU-QweJhjjNmACLcBGAsYHQ/s320/number%2Bcard.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">I
have been away from this for a few weeks. I have been very busy with things for
an upcoming wedding, face masks, and some embroidery projects that needed to be
finished. I will share a few pictures on the Machine Embroidery, Sewing and
Quilting Page.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">I had
a special request for the file for my number cards. This is a fun card to
create for those special number birthdays and anniversaries. You will also want to check out the video on how to put these cards together. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;"><a href="https://youtu.be/-f-GA7oT5FA" target="_blank">Number Cards</a></span></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;"></span></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">To
find the file, go to the link on the left-hand side of this page labeled “Card
Making”. Scroll down until you come to the file named “Number Cards” Have fun
and I would love to see what you create!<o:p></o:p></span></p><br /><p></p>Cindy Lawrencehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15627009885253016335noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1247505347410574278.post-59989221313095150362020-08-13T13:37:00.003-07:002020-08-13T13:37:44.630-07:00Basic card Bases & Envelopes<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Today
I added a couple of fun cards as well as a basic 4.25” x 5.5” card base and a 5”
x 7” card base. These both have layers that you can use or delete. These should
help new card makers get started with the basics. Just open the file from the
link on the Cardmaking page (see the column to the left). Then you can add
your words, embellishments and decorate it right there on your canvas. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">I
also added some files for envelopes for your cards. To change the size of the
envelope to meet your needs, group all of the parts of the envelope. Then
insert a square and resize it to the size of your card. Now go to the envelope
grouping and unlock the proportions (that little lock thing). Place the square
over the center portion of the envelope and then adjust the envelope size to
accommodate that card. I also have given you the link to my video on resizing
envelopes.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">There
are also several free envelope designs available in Design Space.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20pt; text-align: left;">The video on resizing
envelopes is here:</span> <a href="https://youtu.be/rUA6SKuTegg" target="_blank"><span style="font-family: arial; font-size: x-large;">Resizing Envelopes in DS</span></a></p>Cindy Lawrencehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15627009885253016335noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1247505347410574278.post-29214754833685959052020-08-13T13:26:00.003-07:002020-08-13T13:26:50.976-07:00The Impossible Card<p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20pt;">This
card is called the impossible card. It is truly a fun card that will have
everyone guessing on how you made it from one sheet of paper. It looks
difficult, but it is quite easy. I have a video on how to create this card on
my YouTube channel. Just search “impossible card”</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bOTvrFUWj9E/XzWh2f5mGhI/AAAAAAAAGmg/9YAFx9saMVoq-ky0u109OpsRiiCRmtpygCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/Impossible%2Bcard.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bOTvrFUWj9E/XzWh2f5mGhI/AAAAAAAAGmg/9YAFx9saMVoq-ky0u109OpsRiiCRmtpygCLcBGAsYHQ/s640/Impossible%2Bcard.jpg" width="640" /></a></div> <p></p>Cindy Lawrencehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15627009885253016335noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1247505347410574278.post-70720899103109033812020-08-13T13:22:00.002-07:002020-08-13T13:22:34.919-07:00Pop-out Card<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3P3BhSsyBec/XzWfrZyXh-I/AAAAAAAAGmU/pQMHLkrMfdglLMwxKOqP0K9bzbtJRcLCQCLcBGAsYHQ/s261/40004206_10212302308621578_7688014725677842432_o.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="195" data-original-width="261" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3P3BhSsyBec/XzWfrZyXh-I/AAAAAAAAGmU/pQMHLkrMfdglLMwxKOqP0K9bzbtJRcLCQCLcBGAsYHQ/s0/40004206_10212302308621578_7688014725677842432_o.jpg" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><p></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 107%;">As
you probably know by now, I love dimension when creating cards. This design
folds flat in your envelope and then pops out and will stand with a dimensional
presentation. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p>
</p><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Abecedary Stencil"; font-size: 20pt;">This design
uses the font "Base Camp". If you do not own this font, you can
easily change it to one that you own or a system font and then create this card for
no cost.</span> </div><p></p>Cindy Lawrencehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15627009885253016335noreply@blogger.com0
